Following the article about M87 in the April 2022 edition of Astronomy Now magazine, I thought it would be interesting to see if I could get an image to show the jet emanating from the central black hole from my garden in Reeth, and on the clear night of 2nd April the answer was yes! It’s visible at about 7 o’clock from M87 in the image below.
